Bellevue Passes Biannual Budget – Foundation Grants $100,000 for Recruiting

Seven people in formal attire stand in a well-lit hallway, marking a significant moment after Bellevue passes its biannual budget. Their poised stance captures a sense of accomplishment and anticipation, perhaps linked to new recruiting initiatives or upcoming foundation grants.

The Bellevue Police Foundation wants to thank the Bellevue City Council for passing the public safety budget requests made by Police Chief Wendell Shirley and Fire Chief Jay Hagen. This budget includes a significant increase in staffing for the Police Department in anticipation of the changing needs of the city.

To help them reach their goals, the Bellevue Police Foundation granted $100,000 to the Police Department to jumpstart their recruiting efforts.  Thank you to our generous donors who helped make this grant possible!
