2025 Scholarship Recipient
Officer Amanda Jackson
Officer Amanda Jackson has served with BPD for 4 years in a variety of capacities, starting in records management and eventually transferring to a sworn officer position. Officer Jackson has distinguished herself as a Field Training Officer which encompasses the responsibility of training, daily documentation, and evaluation of student officers. This is a high-demand and significant responsibility as FTOs handle training those who are working towards successfully passing training to become solo officers.
Officer Jackson has also stepped up and volunteered for two Career Development Assignments with the Community Crisis Assistance Team, which is the team that deploys an officer alongside a mental health professional to active 911 calls. CCAT responds to community members in crisis, mainly with behavioral health needs with the goal of de-escalation and providing opportunities for diversion from incarceration and hospitalization.
Officer Jackson is recognized by her peers as a team player, takes initiative, is creative, adaptive and dedicated. Bellevue Police Foundation and retired Chief Linda Pillo are very pleased to honor her with this award and scholarship.
