About Bellevue Police Foundation
Our History
The Bellevue Police Foundation, Inc. was established in 2007 by respected business and civic leaders as an independent, 501(c)3 non-profit organization with the goal to strengthen the services of the Bellevue Police Department and improve public safety in the rapidly changing City of Bellevue.
We are the only organization authorized to raise funds for the Bellevue Police Department.
The Foundation does not employ telephone solicitors nor use Internet marketers. If you receive a phone call from someone who says they are from our organization, please hang up. We will never provide your information to others.
Contributions to the Police Foundation are tax-deductible under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Our federal tax ID number is 30-6130338.
Our Impact
Since 2007, the BPF has granted over $1.5 million and funded multiple grants to the Bellevue Police Department for its K9 program, Community Connections Funds, Officer Wellness and Resilience Program, and various safety equipment and technologies.
The Need
The Bellevue Police Foundation knows that a police department that is well trained and equipped, accountable and connected to the community will be highly regarded and trusted. Because less than 2% of the police department's annual budget goes to discretionary spending, the Police Foundation supports Bellevue Police Department initiatives and programs that the city cannot readily fund. This comes at a time when our city landscape is changing dramatically and the demands of modern law enforcement are escalating.
Police Foundation grants provide essential equipment, training and programs that are crucial in helping the Bellevue Police Department reduce crime and keep our officers safe.
We believe public safety cannot rest on the shoulders of law enforcement officers alone. A strong and safe community has a positive relationship with its police. Please join us in our important work by contributing as generously as you can.
