Major Popochock has served with Bellevue Police Department for over 18 years. He started his career in the patrol division serving as a Field Training Officer, a firearms instructor, and a member of the Honor Guard. He promoted to Corporal in 2011 and served in this capacity on a patrol squad as well as the Downtown Unit. In 2014 he was promoted to Lieutenant. As a Lieutenant he was a member of the Civil Disturbance Unit and supervised the K9 and Field Training Officer programs. He was promoted to Captain in 2016 and served in both the Patrol and Investigations Division as well as the SWAT Commander. In 2018 he was promoted to Major and assumed command of the Patrol Division. Currently he is the Major of the Planning Research and Program Management Division. During his time at the Bellevue Police Department he has been awarded four Lifesaving Awards, two Commanders Awards, and the Police Medal.
