Detective Jenny Robertson

Detective Jennifer Robertson has been exemplary in her duties as a Major Crimes Detective. Recently retired in March 2022, she has over 33 years of experience and always gave 100% to each of her assigned cases.  She readily mentored, taught, and helped train newer detectives.  Detective Robertson is well known for her ability to assist victims, witnesses, or family members in their darkest hours.  She has volunteered to re-visit cold cases in an effort to bring a sense of closure to long suffering family members.  A strong team player, she has also been quick to recognize the good work of others in the Department. The Bellevue Police Foundation is proud to honor her years of compassionate and effective service to the residents of Bellevue.

Officer Lucas Porter

Officer Lucas Porter is known to many as the officer who manages the Factoria substation. In 2021, Officer Lucas Porter was selected to serve on the Community Crisis Assistance Team during its pilot program in summer 2021.  He successfully completed the week-long Crisis Hostage Negotiation Team Training which helped his ability to serve the Bellevue Community, especially those with mental illness or those experiencing crisis.

In addition to sharing his skills by helping mentor and train his fellow officers, in December 2022, Officer Porter also organized and ran the Shop with a Cop event in Factoria. This is one of the Police Department’s biggest community events for the year. Officer Porter secured thousands of dollars in funding from Walmart, Factoria Mall and Starbucks, organized volunteers, a wrapping station and hot cocoa for our sponsored families. Over 48 children who would not otherwise have had holiday gifts benefited from this event. The Bellevue Police Foundation is proud to honor his efforts to go above and beyond for many of the more vulnerable residents of Bellevue.

Officer Joseph Tellier

Officer Joseph Tellier manages district 2 for the City of Bellevue, which is arguably the busiest district in the city. In 2021, he was selected to be part of the Community Crisis Assistance Team pilot program, and was immediately recognized by his fellow officers as the de facto leader of the group. He was essential in building the relationship between Bellevue Fire CARES and the police department as well as creating the policies and procedures for the CCAT team, which fills a gap recognized by all police departments across the nation.

Serving as a Field Training Officer, Officer Tellier has also been recognized by his peers as Officer of the Quarter twice and was awarded the Martin Luther King Distinctive Achievement Award for 2022. The Bellevue Police Foundation is proud to honor him as further evidence of his distinctive service to the Community.
