Board Member Spotlight – Shauna Hovanscek

For nearly a decade, Shauna Hovanscek has been the steadfast treasurer of the Bellevue Police Foundation, playing a pivotal role in the foundation’s growth and success. With a commitment to supporting local law enforcement and community initiatives, Shauna has expertly managed the foundation’s finances, ensuring that every dollar is used wisely to support programs that strengthen public safety and foster positive relationships between police officers and the communities they serve.

When she started in 2016, the Foundation was much smaller and Shauna’s role was very hands on. As the foundation grew and changed, her role grew to include leadership on the Executive Committee, guiding various strategic initiatives, and providing critical counsel to the executive director. Her consistency and commitment are unmatched!

Beyond the numbers, Shauna also manages a very busy career and family life, where she also shows a huge commitment to the community. With three children under age 10, and a firefighter husband who works many night shifts, her ability to balance life, career and volunteerism are unparalleled.

As Bellevue Police Foundation continues to thrive and expand its initiatives, the impact of Shauna’s leadership and volunteerism will remain a lasting legacy. We are eternally grateful for her unwavering service and dedication to making our community a safer and more supportive place for all.
