Heroes & Helpers at the Holidays
Last month, Bellevue Police Officers demonstrated exceptional care and dedication by supporting 73 children under the age of 18, 37 of whom are living in safe parking in Bellevue.
Each child was paired with an officer who guided them on a special shopping trip to Target, where they were given the opportunity to select up to $100 worth of items. This event provided children with necessary clothing, toys, and other essentials and also offered a sense of normalcy and joy during challenging times.
The officers acted as mentors and compassionate figures, creating a positive and supportive experience for the children. This initiative was a testament to the Bellevue Police Department’s commitment to community service, showing that the role of an officer extends far beyond law enforcement to include helping those in need and fostering hope and stability for vulnerable families.
Our huge shout out to Target, Factoria Mall, our donors and volunteers who made this possible.
