Tommy Martija
Safety & Security Manager - Overlake Medical Center
Tommy is the Safety and Security Manager at Overlake Medical Center & Clinics. He has over 16 years of experience in hospital security and currently serves as Chair of the Overlake Threat Assessment Committee. He is a member of ATAP (Association of Threat Assessment Professionals) and holds several FEMA certifications, certification in de-escalation, self-defense, Axon Taser Instructor, and BLS/CPR.
At Overlake, Tommy oversees the safety and security department. He is responsible for managing an annual budget of over $2 million. He is also the Heliport Manager at Overlake for EMS and has oversight of the Workplace Violence Committee.
Tommy has a bachelor's degree from Seattle University in Criminal Justice with a minor in Forensic Science. He was born in CA and moved to Bellevue in his teen years to be closer to family. One of his first loves is football.
In his free time, Tommy enjoys watching football, reading, and traveling. Tommy resides in Bellevue with his wife and two young children.
