November 21st, 2023 marks the one year anniversary of our fallen officer, Jordan Jackson.

Earlier today, the City of Bellevue honored Officer Jackson by adding his name to a section of NE 6th St between 110th Ave NE and 112th Ave NE. The new honorary name of this section of NE 6th St will be “Ofc Jordan Jackson Way” and will provide an enduring reminder of Officer Jackson’s service to the City of Bellevue. Also, the Parks Department, in collaboration the Police Department and Officer Jackson’s family, identified a location at Lewis Creek Park to plant a tree and place a bench in Officer Jackson’s memory.

The Police Department is establishing an award in memory of Officer Jackson’s exceptional public service for which future Bellevue Police Officers may be nominated, and Officer Jackson’s radio call sign will be retired.

Finally, the Governor and Attorney General presented Officer Jackson’s family his Washington State Medal of Honor at a ceremony at City Hall today. On behalf of the Jackson family, Bellevue Police Foundation thanks all of you who supported the family during this tragedy. They are eternally grateful.
