Bellevue Police Youth Camp Builds Connections in 2026

The Bellevue Police Department’s 2026 Youth Camp brought local young people together for a week of hands-on experiences, new friendships, and a closer look at the work of Bellevue police officers.

Campers participated in activities designed to build teamwork, leadership, communication, and confidence while learning about law enforcement and the many ways officers serve the community. The camp also gave participants an opportunity to interact with officers in a relaxed, positive setting and see the people behind the badge. “I met new people, tried new things, and learned what it’s really like to work with the police. It was a fun and meaningful experience that gave me a whole new perspective on police officers and the community” said Aiden Dizon, 11 years old.

Launched as a pilot program in 2023 with 31 youth, the camp has continued to grow, adding a high school cohort in 2024. This year’s program continued that tradition, giving both younger and older participants an engaging introduction to public safety and community service.

The Bellevue Police Foundation is proud of the 2026 Youth Camp and its mission of building meaningful relationships between Bellevue’s youth and police officers.
