Honoring Excellence In Service

Bellevue Police Badges

Bellevue Police Department is a 250 person plus organization, with 206 sworn officers and 50 professional staff who are integral to the successful operation of the department. This year, in addition to honoring a sworn officer, BPF also honored a professional staff member who has demonstrated exceptional service to the city.

On March 10th, at our Bold for the Blue Breakfast we proudly recognized Officer Oscar Rodriguez and Police Administrative Assistant Sarah Kasperski with Service Awards, honoring their exceptional dedication to the community.

Officer Rodriguez received the Craig Hanaumi Service Award for his deep connection to the community, particularly his ability to build trust and foster meaningful relationships across diverse groups. Known for going above and beyond, he has become a familiar and trusted presence, often requested by name for community engagement and outreach efforts. His work reflects a genuine passion for service and a belief in the importance of partnership between law enforcement and the people they serve.

Sarah Kasperski was given the inaugural Distinguished Service Award for her exceptional professionalism, leadership, and versatile support of the Bellevue Police Department, specifically for her impactful community engagement and operational excellence.

These awards highlight not only individual achievement, but also the values that define the Bellevue Police Department — integrity, service, and community partnership.

The Bellevue Police Foundation thanks both Officer Rodriguez and Admin Kasperski for their contributions that continue to make a lasting difference in the community.
